In the place where modern banking was given seed centuries ago, the Region of Tuscany is, once again, providing fertile ground for developing a European ecosystem for e-invoicing. Today, the region is not only a model of cooperation and interoperability between the public sector and private commerce but also an innovation lab for initiatives across the e-supply chain throughout Europe.
The role of the EC Expert Group on e-Invoicing: Costas Andropoulos, Head of Unit, ICT for Competitiveness and Innovation, European Commission
An economist with studies in Greece and Canada, Costas joined the Commission in 1981 and worked in several units dealing with competition issues (sectoral state aids), competitiveness, innovation and industrial policy. Currently he is Head of the unit “ICT for Competitiveness and Innovation” in Directorate General Enterprise and Industry
EC Expert Group on e-Invoicing: Open Roundtable

In this unique event bringing together stakeholders from all aspects of E-Invoicing, SEPA International organized a roundtable on e-Invoicing to coincide with EC Expert Group on e-Invoicing meeting in Florence, Italy. Held in collaboration with the European Commission, the Region of Tuscany, the CBI consortium and OpenSelex; the roundtable was the first open dialogue between the EC, members of the expert group, public administrators, solution providers and corporate decision-makers.
